Why is it that when management grossly underestimates the work that is needed to get a task done, it's the workers who end up having to put in sixty and seventy hour work weeks to get back on schedule? I could forgive this if management learned from their mistakes, but often I see the same management team do the same thing again on the next years project and the next and the next...
I'm going to try once more to get this blog going since I see that it has had a few reads this past month.

No Gripes
I'm really running out of things to gripe about so unless someone sends comments soon, I will probably not be posting anything.

Supermarket Gripes
Here are my Supermarket Gripes:
Naked shelfs when I do my shopping on Saturday morning
Only one open line and it's marked "express" so when you pull up to it with a full cart
you get nasty looks from the people who get in the line behind you
People in the express line using credit cards

Gripe of the Day: Driving in Fog
I just got back from a trip to the Gym which, fortunately, is only three miles from my house. We are experiencing heavy fog in the area and I almost stayed home because of it. Nonetheless, about one in five drivers on the road had no lights on!

Gripes about Whatever
No votes this week so instead of selecting a category, I'm just going to gripe about anything that pops into my head.
Annoying people:
Folks who hold impromptu business meeting in narrow halls
Folks who use credit cards in the express lane at the supermarket
School administrators who complain that they don't get enough money while they waste what they are getting by doing dumb things like letting a teacher park on the school lawn so he doesn't have to carry boxes far, than paying a gardener to repair the tore up lawn.
Annoying things:
Clouds that wait until you two blocks from home walking the dogs then open up - DOOSH!
Medicine in child proof bottles that can't possibly be opened by a sick person
Assembly instructions that leave out a step or two.

Cable TV Gripes
Since no votes were cast last week, I'll just pick the first one on the list for this week's gripe subject: Cable TV.
Don't you just love those letters you get from the cable company periodically that say something like: "As we have vastly improved your service, specifically by adding the Knitting Channel and the Ice Fishing Channel your rates will be going up next month".
Why is it I have to pay for channels I never watch, but the channels I want are on the premium tier where I have to pay extra to get them?
State and federal governments long ago decided it was wrong to have a phone monopoly, wrong to have an electric monopoly and wrong to have a natural gas monopoly so why is it still OK to have cable TV monopolies?
Well that's enough for my gripes. Send yours by using the comment button.
